Alexander Pituk


Born 26.10.1904. He is the nestor of Slovak chess composers, now 94 years and still composing. Mainly author of twomovers of strategic school, later also twomovers with changes, ocassionaly some other types of problems.

Prototype of Pituk theme: after key black king has 3 flights. In each of 3 variations cyclically one of them is blocked, second lies on white line opened by defence and third is taken by mating move.
