Award of 24th TT Chess Composition Microweb C 10.10.2008

Ich hatte einige Bauchschmerzen, da ich ein derartiges Turnier noch nie gerichtet hatte. Schließlich war alles zugelassen und so waren auch extremste Märchenelemente möglich. Die Autoren machten aber davon (zu meinem Glück) wenig Gebrauch.

I had a tense feeling as I had not judged a tourney of such type yet. After all, everything was allowed, including the most extreme fairy elements. The authors have not (fortunately for me) used that possibilities much.

Wichtig bei der Beurteilung war mir Folgendes:

(Einen speziellen Hinweis habe ich für den Autor der Nr. 12 (Kd5/-): Die Forsberg-Zwillingsbildung ist völlig ungerechtfertigt. Man versetze Td7 > h6 und wähle als Zwilling b) Th6 > h4. Diagrammstellung und Zwilling haben dann jeweils drei Lösungen mit Idealdoppelpatts.)

(I have a special notice for the author of problem No 12 (Kd5/-): The Forsberg twinning is fully unjustifiable. One can move Rd7 to h6 and treat it as twinning b) Rh6 to h4. Diagram position and twinning then both have three solutions with ideal double stalemates.)

Eine HOTF-Aufgabe vom Feinsten: Drei Paare von perfekt harmonierenden Lösungen.
1. Paar = Lösung a) und b): Installation eines zweiten Bocks für die linienräumenden schwarzen Känguruhs.
2. Paar = Lösung c) und d): Beseitigung weißer Masse und schwarzer Umnow.
3. Paar = Lösung e) und f): Doppelte Doppelbockerzeugung durch Schwarz.
Die 24 Steine und die seltenen Känguruharten stören mich nicht.

HOTF-composition of the best kind: three pairs of perfectly harmonious solutions.
1st pair = solution a) and b): setting up the second hurdle for the black kangaroos evacuating the lines.
2nd pair = solution c) and d): removal of white mass and black Umnov.
3rd pair = solution e) and f): doubled arrival of second hurdle by Black.
24 pieces and the rare kangaroos do not disturb me.

The two best entries from the group of problems of the same genre offered to me. Both problems show simple ideas, but very harmoniously. Black has to remove white pawns in order to allow other white pieces enter these squares. Moreover the fairy conditions are well used: nice Circe ...

Exotischer Märchenzoo, bei dem die "Tierchen" aber nicht recht zusammenpassen wollen. Weißer Minimal mit zweimaligem Schlag des weißen Königsbegleiters. Die Schlagmotive sind jedoch nicht ganz einheitlich in jeder Lösung (Räumung der Wiedergeburtsfelder, Deckungsverlust, Linienöffnung).

Exotic fairy Zoo, with not completely matching animals. White minimal with twofold capture of white king's partner. Motivation for the captures are not fully unified in all solutions (vacating rebirth square, unguarding, opening of the line).
